Seeing the fortifications in the field and how they were on that very day made your mind wonder what it was like during that very battle. If students could actually be on the battle their minds would wonder and they would generate discussion. Our day ended on a nice ride along the Erie Canal in Rochester. The canal is an amazing feat of construction.
